The Broadway Theatre is a film and performance venue located in the Nutana
neighborhood of Saskatoon.
The theatre was Broadway’s entertainment destination during the post-World
War II years. After closing briefly in 1993, the Broadway was granted
heritage status and has been hosting art, Canadian and regional cinema, as
well as some live music performances ever since.
The Year Dolly Parton Was My Mom is Tara Johns’ first feature film. Produced
by Palomar (Quebec) and Buffalo Gal Pictures (Manitoba) the film stars Macha
Grenon, Julia Stone and Gil Bellows.
